I’ve always believed that behind every “problem dog” is simply a dog that hasn’t been understood yet.
Over the last five years, I’ve dedicated my life to helping owners who feel overwhelmed, embarrassed or like they’ve tried everything. Whether it’s aggression, resource guarding, reactivity or a dog that simply can’t enjoy the freedom of being off lead, I know how emotionally exhausting it can be living with those challenges.
My passion has taken me around the world to learn from some of the very best trainers in the industry, but one thing became clear wherever I went—training should never just be about obedience. It should be about understanding the dog in front of you, building trust, creating clear communication and giving owners the confidence to enjoy life with their dog again.
At UnityK9 we don’t believe in simply managing behaviour or masking problems. We focus on getting to the root cause so real change can happen. Every programme is tailored to both the dog and the owner because no two families are the same.
One of the greatest rewards is seeing a dog that once couldn’t be trusted enjoy the freedom of being safely off lead and watching owners finally relax and enjoy the relationship they always hoped for.
At home I have four dogs of my own—three Huskies and a rescued Belgian Shepherd—and they remind me every day why I love doing what I do.

Dogs have always been at the centre of my life, and helping them become calmer, happier and more understood is something I’m incredibly passionate about.
Over the last two years I’ve worked closely within UnityK9, running our Academy programme where I’ve helped dogs develop confidence, social skills and better communication with both people and other dogs. I also work with our residential rehabilitation dogs, helping them overcome behavioural challenges and prepare for life back at home.
I’ve invested countless hours and a huge amount of time and money learning from some of the world’s best trainers because I truly believe our clients deserve the very best support possible.
My biggest teachers have actually been my own dogs. I have two Shepherds who both came with aggression issues, and what was meant to be a temporary foster—a Presa Canario cross with a severe history of aggression—ended up becoming part of my family. Watching him transform into a safe, happy dog reinforced exactly why I love this work.
I know how worrying it can feel when you’re living with a dog that struggles, and that’s why I care so deeply about every family that comes through our doors. Our aim isn’t just to train dogs—it’s to help owners understand them, rebuild trust and create a relationship that lasts long after training has finished.

Working with UnityK9 – What to expect
- Book Assessment
Choose a time and date convenient for you through our online booking system. Assessments are all held at our Wigan based facility
- Initial assessment
1 hour face to face initial assessment which helps us to establish where the problem behaviours started, what you’re struggling with, and allows us to formulate a personalised training plan based on your individual goals.
- Bespoke training plan
We offer a variety of packages, your assessment will help us determine the most appropriate for you and your dog depending on the issues you have been struggling with. We then tailor the training plan to ensure you achieve your goals and fulfil your dog’s needs.
- Real life training
We don’t just train in one environment, to ensure you can take your dog anywhere we proof all of your skills out and about in the places you want to be like cafes, parks and the great outdoors.
- Course completion
On completion of your training package with us, there will be a number of options for you to further develop/ progress your skills and confidence as well as your dog’s, such as guided hikes, workshops, and group socialisation.
